This is one of the first questions general contractors ask before finalizing a bathroom layout, since moving plumbing adds real cost and time to any renovation. In most cases, a custom vanity can be designed and built around the existing rough-in location, which keeps the project on budget and avoids opening walls or slab for a plumbing relocation. Our design process starts with an on-site measurement that documents drain, supply line, and outlet positions, then builds the cabinet box, sink cutout, and faucet spacing around those exact points. If a homeowner wants a different sink configuration, such as switching from a single to a double vanity, we flag any plumbing changes early so the GC can coordinate with the plumber before cabinets are fabricated. Vanities are available in any size, finish, and configuration, floating or freestanding, and are typically ready for installation within four to six weeks of final design approval.
